MIDWEST MARBLE CLUB – Winter 2024 MEETING – February 10, 2024

The Midwest Marble Club’s Winter 2024 Club Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 10th at the Champlin United Methodist Church from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Church is located at: 921 Downs Road, Champlin, MN 55316-1626. 

There will be tables for Members to show off their marbles, as well as tables for the Club’s marble reference books, and auction items. More updates will come later before the meeting. 

The focus of the meeting will be on the Fall 2024 Marble Show and some changes to the Club. In that regard, being the first meeting of the new year, the Club will be holding elections for officers: President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Please let the current president – Alan Rupp, know if you are interested in running for any of these positions.

There will be a Treasurer’s report, given by Diane Loven, covering 2023’s expense and the current Club’s financial status.  Lon Morsching will provide an update on the growth of the Midwest Marble Club Facebook Group. Alan Rupp will provide an update about the Club in general.

The next Club meeting is tentatively scheduled for May 11, 2024. Location on the South side to be determined.

MIDWEST MARBLE CLUB – Fall 2023 MEETING – November 18, 2023

The Midwest Marble Club’s Fall 2023 Club Meeting was held on Saturday, November 18th at the Emanual Lutheran Church in Prior Lake from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Members filled about 20 tables with marbles from the Club Members, as well as the Club’s marble reference books, auction items and “potluck” food. 

Those who attended thought the meeting went well. The Treasurer’s report, given by Diane Loven, stated that the Club is doing well financially.  Lon Morsching gave an update on the growth of the Midwest Marble Club Facebook Group. We now have over 650 members on Facebook.

The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for February 10, 2024. Location to be determined.
